About Us
Hope Care College is in the process of registering as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). We will collaborate with the already registered RTO, Anglicare College, to provide high-quality vocational education in aged care. Our mission is to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary for excellence in the field of aged care, ensuring the highest standard of care for the elderly population. We plan to offer training in three languages—Mandarin, Cantonese, and English—to support the local community in Sydney and the Chinese community.
Our Mission
Guided by Christian values, we empower individuals with the necessary skills and compassion to provide exceptional aged care.
Our Vision
To become the leading provider of aged care training, bringing hope to trainees and the elderly community through our commitment to quality education and Christian values.
Our Team
Dr. Nancy Fung (PhD, MTh, MNA, RN, MA, BA)
Dr. Fung brings forty years of diverse interdisciplinary expertise, including nursing, elderly care administration, consulting, and teaching in both clinical and higher education settings. In the field of aged care, she is dedicated to holistic care, advocating for the comprehensive needs of elderly individuals—physical, psychological, social, emotional, and spiritual. Recently, Dr. Fung has been instrumental in establishing "Hope Holistic Care" as its CEO, focusing on providing care in languages commonly spoken by the Chinese community in Australia. She is passionate about training more Mandarin-speaking aged care professionals to meet the growing demand for elderly care services within the Chinese community in Australia.
Dr. Fung began her career in aged care as a nurse and, driven by her passion for elderly care, pursued additional training in gerontology. She has coordinated and taught gerontology and aged care courses at Cumberland College of Health Sciences and Australian Catholic University.
Recognizing the need for specialized elderly care services for the Chinese community in Australia, Dr. Fung has established and managed several aged care facilities tailored to this demographic. Her efforts have earned her a nomination for an outstanding award in the professional development category for aged care.
In addition, Dr. Fung has a strong commitment to theology. She has been extensively involved in theological education and pastoral care in various Christian institutions. She holds a Master of Theology degree and a PhD from Biola University, where she specialized in the application of problem-based learning in theological education.
